For the Europa League project, we crafted a vibrant TV graphics package centred around a dynamic energy wave, the key branding element. The Europa League is a highly unpredictable and exciting competition that brings clubs from countries across Europe.

One of the challenges was using this unpredictable wave and integrating it seamlessly with the structured demands of live sports graphics. This included incorporating it into tables, results, animated straps, score bugs, and various other elements, requiring the wave to resolve into a cohesive, familiar design format.  

The package needed to be multilingual and provide broadcasters with a toolkit of in-programme graphics, on-air promotional material, and social media elements, all for each broadcaster to use at their discretion but under the guidance of the Europa League brand guidelines.

Social Type-kit

To elevate UEL’s day-to-day social media output, we created a “Social Type Kit” of stings and overlays that generates impact and variety whilst keeping posts consistent and on brand. The graphics templates delivered were fully responsive and editable, allowing the internal marketing team to build variations and develop during the competition.
